Young helpers seriously needed at Our Lady’s Pantry

“We are desperate for some young retirees to help unload our trucks – most especially on Tuesday mornings,” says Pantry director Tom Bullaro.  “Too many of our volunteers are too old to do all the heavy lifting required to unpack our trucks and store the food on our shelves, or in our cooler or freezer, so it stays safe until Saturday, when our clients come.  We no longer have the strength.  Regrettably, injuries occur too frequently.

“We need some young strong retirees to help us out on Tuesday and Friday mornings, but especially when our biggest order comes in on Tuesday.  If you can possibly spare a couple of hours to help us out, we are so grateful.”

Our Lady’s Pantry is located at: 16650 U.S. Highway 301, South, in Wimauma.  We are in the classroom building on the far right-hand side of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Migrant Mission.

“Thank you in advance for any help you can offer,” says Bullaro.
