Would you like to write a grant for Our Lady’s Pantry?

Our Lady’s Pantry has thrived for 25 years this December thanks to the generosity of this amazing community and an occasional grant from some philanthropic group.  These grants help to fill in the gaps with our ever-increasing expenses ($69,000 for food, electricity, and truck maintenance/fuel for the first five months of this year).

“A large donation from some charitable group would be very welcome at this time,” says director Tom Bullaro.  “Can you write a grant for us?

“Grant writing is tedious,” says Bullaro,” But it is not difficult, because we are only answering questions the grantor has asked.  We will give you all those answers in all the detail you need, along with samples of successful grants we have already written.  All that is necessary is to identify a possible grantor (Internet or Library), then come to one of our workshops for all the information you need.”

Our Lady’s Pantry holds occasional workshops for this purpose.  The next two are scheduled as follows:

Friday, July 19, at 10 a.m.

Tuesday, July 30, at 10 a.m.

“If you would like to join us on one of these days, please let us know,” says Bullaro.  “To make a reservation, kindly contact Pat at:  pmcadams@nasw.org

“Another way to help us is to work on site.  We always need help during the week – especially on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.”

“And thanks so much,” Bullaro adds.  “We look forward to meeting you one day soon.
