Thank you, snowbirds!
From fall through early spring, snowbirds in Sun City Center are busy serving others in countless ways, says Anita Bullaro, co-director of Our Lady's Pantry, with her husband Tom.
“This is certainly true at the Pantry, where our snowbirds have helped us pass along probably thousands of pounds of staples, fresh produce, and frozen foods to our families. They have made a huge difference in helping us getting the job done and we thank each one of them for their help!
“But now they are leaving us to go North — and leaving us shorthanded.
“If you are free to lend a hand, that would get great,” she says. “Just stop by some Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday morning, and ask for me. We look forward to meeting you one day.
“We are in special need of men to help with the heavy lifting of grocery boxes into our families' cars on Saturday mornings.
“And thanks, for however much time you can spare."
