Our Lady’s Pantry thanks everyone for a remarkable year!
“This has been an incredible year for Our Lady’s Pantry for so many reasons,” says director Tom Bullaro.
“Thanks to generous neighborhoods, clubs, supermarkets, and individuals continually donating food and money, we have been able to keep our shelves, cooler, and freezer stuffed with food that we can then share with those in need,” says Bullaro.
”No one leaves here without at least a bag of food‑— even if they are not registered with us.”
But none of this would be possible without the energy and dedication of the Pantry’s volunteers who work on-site in Wimauma or drive our trucks almost every day of the week.
“We thank you for everything you do — especially for working in freezing temperatures on Christmas Eve,” says Bullaro. “I think in our 22 years, this was the coldest Saturday we ever experienced. But you came, nevertheless, enduring freezing temperatures from long before dawn when you were setting up, until 10:30 a.m., when we closed.
“You were amazing and Anita and I thank you for your efforts.”
New volunteers are always welcome. If you would like to join our Pantry family, just stop in any Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday morning. Ask for Karen or Kim, and let us know you’d like to help.
