Our Lady’s Pantry has a wish list.  Can you help?

  • Strong backs to help load food into our clients’ cars on Saturday mornings. “If you can work between 6:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. that would be grand,” says director Tom Bullaro.
  • Truck drivers needed for our two trucks. “Many of our drivers are snow birds, who have left until the Fall.  Our drivers work on Tuesday and Friday mornings picking up food from Publix in Sun City Center and Balm; Aldi’s in Sun City Center and Riverview; Sam’s Club, Costco, and a few other markets.   We also pick up from Feeding Tampa Bay, which is in Tampa, but just off Rt. 60, outside of Brandon.  You need not have a Florida commercial driver’s license (CDL) to drive our trucks.”
  • The Pantry is constantly in need of volunteers to work for a couple of hours on Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday mornings.
  • Grant writers are needed. In particular, we are hoping for monies to help pay off our new used truck.  The truck cost $30,000.  $15,000 is still outstanding.  Also, we are hopeful of receiving funds for ordinary operational expenses like electricity, gasoline, maintenance, and insurance for our two trucks, and more . . .

“Thank you for anything you can do to lend a hand,” says Bullaro.
