Our Lady's Pantry gets new freezer

Our Lady's Pantry installs walk-in freezer!

“Thanks to the contributions from so many donors, Our Lady's Pantry has purchased and installed a big walk-in freezer to better serve our families,” says Tom Bullaro.

Bullaro, who is co-director of the Panty with his wife Anita, says this new 900-cubic foot freezer is 10 ft. by 16 ft.  This freezer has more than three times the capacity of all our nine free-standing freezers combined.  Further, the walk-in freezer uses less electricity.

“Importantly, this additional space allows us to purchase food in bulk at lower prices and ensures that we can provide more meat and other foods to our families.”

According to Bullaro, the freezer costs $15,000, plus an additional $5,000 for installation.

“Again, we thank you for your continual donations,” says Bullaro.  “You have been so generous to us — especially during the holidays.  We ask that you kindly keep us in mind throughout the year, so we can keep our shelves — and freezer — filled with food for our families each week.”
