More free food

Our Lady's Pantry distributes a record 262 boxes of free food at recent food drop event!

“A great big thanks to The Community Foundation of Sun City Center and Tampa Bay, which sponsored our first food drop this fall,” says Anita Bullaro, co-director of the Pantry with her husband Tom.

“We expected to start at 9 a.m., but we had a double row of cars lined up from the Pantry back to Rt. 301 by 8:30 a.m., so we opened early.  Families are so appreciative of receiving all of these groceries.

“Anyone in Hillsborough County over the age of 18 can come for a box of food,” says Bullaro.  “All you need to do is sign your name!”

According to Bullaro, the next food drop is scheduled for Thursday, October 25, between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.  It, too, will be sponsored by The Community Foundation.

“If Our Lady's Pantry can help you with extra groceries to put meals on your table — and you live in Balm, Wimauma, or Sun City Center — please come see us on Saturday morning,” says Bullaro.

“That's why we are here.  If you live outside these towns, there are other pantries who will be happy to help you.”
