Men volunteers are desperately needed at Our Lady’s Pantry!

Our Lady’s Pantry is busier than ever with 266 clients coming for food this week!  Serving all these clients with our limited number of senior volunteers is almost beyond what we can manage.

Please help if you can spare some time on Tuesday, Friday — or Saturday mornings, especially

On Fridays, when we get our biggest order, it takes many hours to unload our truck and store the food for Saturday.

On Saturdays, our volunteers start working long before dawn, unpacking food from our cooler and later, our freezer, to set up for 7:30 a.m., when the Pantry opens.

With so many snowbirds among our regular helpers, we are already short of help.  And now, with many of our remaining helpers off visiting family for the first time since COVID, we are working with a skeleton crew and we are desperate.  Most of our volunteers are older seniors and working so long, especially in all this heat, is difficult.

Please come if you can share a kindness with those in need.  No need to call ahead.  Just come and ask for Anita or Tom or say, “What can I do to help?”
