Irish Connection donates $1,000 to Our Lady’s Pantry!

The Irish Connection of Sun City Center has chosen Our Lady’s Pantry as the recipient of a generous gift of $1,000 for food.

Paddy Cooney, president of the club recognizes that the coronavirus has been an incredible hardship for many in this community — both seniors and those still raising families.

“As Irish, our members are keenly aware of hunger, and we are delighted to make this donation to Our Lady’s Pantry,” he says.

“The Pantry does so much good in this area — especially now, during this terrible time.  We like to think that ensuring that our neighbors have the food they need for themselves and their families also give them peace and hope, knowing others care.”

Tom Bullaro, director of the Pantry, is so appreciative of this check — and all the other checks he has been receiving for food from this caring community.

“Thank you everyone,” he says.

“If you need food, please be sure to visit the Pantry between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.  We look forward to seeing you then.
