Hospital food drive yields 2,000 pounds of food for Our Lady’s Pantry!

“This food drive is a perfect reflection of the power of community,” says Tom Bullaro.

Bullaro, who is director of Our Lady’s Pantry, says that the HCA Southshore Hospital has been hosting a two-week food drive for the Pantry for several years already.  Past donations yielded 900 pounds of food one year, 1,300 pounds another year.

“But this year was their biggest donation so far, with 2000 pounds of food!

This food reflects only a small portion of the huge donation to Our Lady’s Pantry this year.

“These donations are especially welcome as we have more people coming for food than ever before.

“We thank all the people at the hospital for helping us feed the needy every year.”
